Essie Borrowed and Blue

Hey everyone!

Today I have some swatches of Essie's Borrowed and Blue from the 2011 Wedding Collection. Borrowed and Blue is a very pale blue cream. This color is really pretty, and was one of my favorite polishes to wear this past Spring. This applies pretty streaky, and while it is completely opaque in two coats, the streakiness makes three coats necessary.

Spring VoxBox!

Hey everyone!

Last month, I was sent the Spring Vox Box from Influenster! Influenster sends out VoxBoxes free to people who have blogs or make videos in exchange for their honest opinions of the products sent.

Here's what I was sent:

Since this is a nail polish blog, I'm just going to put a little bit of info and a small review of the non-nail related items in this post and then I will have a separate review of the one nail item I was sent.

Sheer Cover Duo Concealer: Sold in a one-month supply kit of 6 products for $29.95.

I wasn't a big fan of this product. I have very pale skin, and this concealer looked orange on me. When applying my normal concealer, I usually put it on and then brush some of my BareMinerals foundation over it and it works great. When I did that with this product, the concealer partially came off and looked kind of cakey.

Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Body Wash: $6.99 to $8.99 for a full-size bottle

This product was pretty basic. It smelled nice and I have no complaints. I didn't see much difference in the quality of this product compared to other products I use, so I probably won't purchase this in the future due to the high price.

ChapStick Lip Shield 365: $1.89 to $2.39

This ChapStick has a sort of grapefruit scent to it that's really interesting. This has a kind of oily texture to it, which doesn't really bother me as much as I thought it would. This seems to work pretty good and is something I might consider purchasing in the future.

Sally Hansen Salon Effects in "Laced Up:" $9.99

I will be reviewing this in a separate post! :)

Bath and Body Works Fine Fragrance Mist in Moonlight Path: $14

I would describe Moonlight Path as a light lavendar scent. I'm not a big fan of floral scents, so I ended up giving this to my Grandma, who really likes it. :)

SoyJoy Bar: $.99 to $1.29

I have severe food allergies, so my sister tried this product out for me. She said that it tasted like "the outside part of a fig newton," which I guess she doesn't like, because she wasn't a big fan of this.

Dr. Scholl's for Her Ball of Foot: This product was an extra in the package, so I don't have a price for it.

I gave this product to my sister as well, since I don't wear high heels and really have no use for shoe inserts. She really liked this and said that it made her shoes more comfortable!

Here's a picture of what it looked like in my sister's shoe:

Well, I hope you guys enjoyed my non-polish product reviews! Thanks for reading!

China Glaze Fast Track

Hey everyone!

Sorry for being so absent lately! Over the past month, I was slowly moving back into my Grandparent's house, so my nail polish was all over the place and it was really difficult to keep up with blogging. I just finished the moving process this past weekend, and all of my nail polish is all organized, so I should be able to get back to regular posts!

Today, I have some swatches of China Glaze's Fast Track from the Hunger Games collection to share with you all! This was the only polish from the Hunger Games collection that really interested me, so I didn't end up purchasing any of the other 11 polishes from that collection. I picked this up a couple of months ago, so I'm not really sure why I didn't share this with you all back then, but better late than never!

Fast Track is an awesome nude-based gold shimmer. This polish is really unique and is unlike any of the other polishes in my collection. The formula was great, and this applied really smooth and even. I used two coats, but my nail line was still slightly visible, so three coats will be necessary if you want better coverage.

China Glaze Watermelon Rind

Hey everyone!

Today, I have some swatches of China Glaze's Watermelon Rind to share with you all! Watermelon Rind is a teal/green color with a blue shimmer. This looked very green when I was outside, but then looked more teal when I was inside near fluorescent lighting. This applies fairly sheer, so I had to use three coats to reach full opacity.
