Revlon Sweet Tart

Hey everyone!

I hope you all had a great weekend! Today, I have some swatches of Revlon's Sweet Tart to share with you all! Sweet Tart is a bright bubble gum pink color. This color has a little bit of a neon look to it and will be really great to wear during the spring and summer months.

The formula for this one was a little bit thick and went on kind of streaky, but I still felt that it wasn't that difficult to apply. I ended up using three coats.

Pool Party and Color Trip tape manicure!

Hey everyone!

Today, I have a really bright tape manicure that I wore a couple of days ago to share with you all! To create this, I used China Glaze's Pool Party, Sparitual's Color Trip, and Sally Hansen's Celeb City from the Xtreme Wear line.

I started out with Pool Party (the bright pink shade) on my nails, and then used tape to section off half of my nail and then put on Color Trip (bright magenta color). I let everything dry, and then I used tape again to make the line (Celeb City) in between both colors. (If you don't want to go through the trouble of waiting for the second color to dry before using tape again, you could just draw the middle line yourself. The only reason why I chose to use tape is because I'm not that good at nail art and I struggle making perfectly straight lines. This is my favorite type of tape manicure to make! It's super easy, and it looks great with pretty much any color combinations.

Sally Hansen Gem Crush Lady Luck

Hey everyone!

Today, I have some swatches of Sally Hansen's Lady Luck from the Gem Crush line to share with you all! Lady Luck is a beautiful magenta glitter with larger holographic glitter pieces in it. This polish kind of reminds me of Sally Hansen's Wedding Crasher from the Diamond Strength line. The color is pretty similar, except Wedding Crasher has smaller light pink hexagon glitter instead of Lady Luck's semi-larger holographic glitter.

The formula was a little bit thicker than your average glitter polish. The Gem Crush polishes also have a wider brush, so that combined with the thick formula made this a little bit difficult to apply. This cost about $6, which is pretty expensive for a drugstore polish considering this only contains .31 oz, when most polishes normally are .5 oz.

Revlon Sunshine Sparkle

Hey everyone!

Today I have some swatches of Revlon's Sunshine Sparkle to share with you all! I picked this polish up for $1 from the clearance section at Target. I've heard so many people say that the formula for almost every yellow polish they use is terrible, so I really don't know why I bought this one. (I think it was because I don't really have any yellow polishes and it was only a dollar...but still)

Anyway, Sunshine Sparkle is a beautiful light yellow color with a slight shimmer to it. I really love the color, but other than that, this polish was just terrible. This was so difficult to apply! The formula was really goopy, which made the polish really hard to get even. I ended up having to use 5 coats in order to make it look even, and just when I thought it looked somewhat decent, it started to bubble! It was so frustrating. I now understand why this was only a dollar...

I care about you guys, so I won't subject you to too many pictures of this, but here it is:

Pink clouds

Hey everyone!

Happy Valentine's Day!! Today, I decided to recreate some cloud nails that I saw over on the Nailside blog. To create this, I used Revlon's Sweet Tart, Essie's French Affair, and Sally Hansen's White On from the Xtreme Wear line. Here are some pictures:

Loreal Eiffel For You

Hey everyone!

Today I have some swatches of Loreal's Eiffel For You to share with you all! Eiffel For You is a gray/tan color with a strong hint of purple to it. When I bought this color, I thought I was just buying a tan polish and was really surprised when I put it on and it looked so purple. This color kind of reminds me of a lighter version of Misa's Coffee Pick Me Up.

The formula for this one was ok. It was a little thick, which made it just a little difficult to get even, but that wasn't that big of a problem. I used three coats.

Nicole by OPI Green Up Your Act

Hey everyone!

Today, I have some swatches of Nicole by OPI's Green Up Your Act to share with you all! Green Up Your Act is a muted green color with a hint of gray to it. I'm normally not the biggest fan of green polishes, but I found this in the clearance bins at Target and it was a good deal, so I got it anyway.

The formula for this one was a little bit runny, and with the thinner nicole by opi brush, it was a little difficult to apply neatly. This was completely opaque in two coats.

Revlon Chic

Hey everyone!

Today, I have some swatches of Revlon's Chic to share with you all! Chic is a deep sea blue creme. This color kind of reminds me of Orly's Sapphire Silk. I'm not sure how similar they really are, so maybe I'll do a comparison post.

This applied pretty even, but the formula was a little thinner than what I was expecting. I used three thin coats. Here are some pictures:

Sally Hansen Wet Cement

Hey everyone!

Today, I have some swatches of Sally Hansen's Wet Cement from the Xtreme Wear line to share with you all! Wet Cement is a light gray color that looks pretty much like what it's name describes. This shade of gray is really pretty...this is definitely a polish that I could see myself wearing a lot!

The formula for this one was perfect! It applied really smooth and was completely opaque in two coats. I purchased this at Walgreens for about $3.

Essie Very Cranberry

Hey everyone!

I hope you all had a great weekend! Today, I have some swatches of Essie's Very Cranberry to share with you all! Very Cranberry is a pink/berry red color. This polish has some very minimal shimmer to it that's noticeable in the bottle, but not on the nails.

The formula for this one was a little thin, but it applied great. Just make sure that you wear a base coat. I forgot to, and it ended up staining my nails. I had to use three thin coats in order to reach full opacity.

Sally Hansen Quick Sand

Hey everyone!

Today I have some swatches of Sally Hansen's Quick Sand from the Insta-Dri line to share with you all! Quick Sand is a nude/peach colored shimmer. I'm not really too crazy about this color on me. It kind of looked like I had globbed liquid foundation all over my nails. I think this would probably look really nice on someone who has a darker skin tone and isn't as pale as I am.

The formula for this one was a little bit runny, but it didn't make applying it that difficult. I had to use three thin coats in order to reach full opacity. Here are some pictures:
