Sally Hansen Pumpkin Spice

Hey everyone!

Happy Halloween! Sorry for missing my Saturday post this past weekend. Last week I got a flu shot, and I appear to be having an allergic reaction to it. My whole face and neck have been swollen since Friday and my throat keeps on getting tight and making it difficult to breathe. I went to both urgent care and the hospital on Saturday and they said the only thing I can do to help myself is to just rest and take lots of Benadryl. Definitely not fun. So, because I'm still pretty sick, I just have a really short post for you all today.

In celebration of Halloween today, I have some swatches of Sally Hansen's Pumpkin Spice from the Xtreme Wear line to show you all. Pumpkin Spice is an orange glitter in a black/brown colored base. This polish is really sheer, so I ended up having to use four coats. I think this would be a great layering polish, but I haven't tried that out yet. Since the base of this polish isn't exactly black, I think this is more of a fall polish and not just for Halloween, and I could still pull off layering this over another polish this season. Maybe a dark purple color?

Sally Hansen Sun Kissed

Hey everyone!

Happy Friday! Does anyone have any exciting plans for the weekend? Tonight, I have some swatches of Sally Hansen’s Sun Kissed from the Xtreme Wear line to show you all. Sun Kissed is a bright orange creme. The formula for this one was great. This went on really smooth and was super opaque. I used two coats.

Glitter French Manicure

Hey everyone!

Tonight, I have a glitter french manicure to show you all. I actually wore this on my nails a couple of weeks ago, and for some reason never got a chance to post it until now. For this look, I used China Glaze’s Urban Night and In The City. I already posted swatches of these polishes back in August that you can view here. (Just a fair warning--Those pictures were taken right around the time when I started blogging, so the quality of them isn’t the greastest) In order to assure that the line along the glitter was straight, I just used some tape. This was super easy to do, and I think this looks really pretty. I will definitely be wearing something like this on my nails again! Here are some pictures:

Nicole by OPI Glitter In My Stocking

Hey everyone!

Tonight, I have some swatches of Nicole by OPI’s Glitter In My Stocking from the Holiday Glitters collection to show you all. This is definitely the most Christmas-y polish from this collection, and was the one that I was most excited to get. Glitter In My Stocking is an awesome glitter that consists of gold, red, and silver. I love this polish, but I’m just not sure if it looks that great on me. Maybe because I’m so pale?

The formula for this was great, and for a glitter, this was actually pretty opaque. I ended up using two coats. Also, like the rest of the polishes from this collection, this dries pretty dull, so I would recommend using a top coat.

Nicole by OPI Snowman Of My Dreams

Hey everyone!

I hope you all have been having a fabulous weekend so far! Tonight, I have another polish from the Nicole by OPI Holiday Glitters collection to show you all! Snowman Of My Dreams is a really pretty multi-colored glitter. The glitter in this polish is mainly a bright blue color mixed with silver, red, pink, gold, and green. This polish wasn’t as opaque as the other three polishes from this collection, and I ended up having to use three coats. Also, this polish dries very dull, so a top coat is a must.

Nicole by OPI Orna-ment For Each Other

Hey everyone!

Sorry today’s post is so late! I was busy earlier today and then had to babysit tonight, so I haven’t had time to come on here until now.

Today, I have another polish from the Nicole by OPI Holiday Glitters collection to show you all! Orna-ment For Each Other is a red and gold glitter. I would describe this shade of red as a more golden red color. This polish is so pretty! The formula for this was great. Like My Sleigh’s In The Shop, this was pretty opaque, and I just had to use two coats.

If you're interested in picking this polish up, they have it on Amazon. Here's the link:

Nicole by OPI My Sleigh's In The Shop

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has signed up for my giveaway so far! I was definitely shocked at how many people have already participated. If you haven’t had a chance to sign up yet, you can here.

Today, I have some swatches of My Sleigh’s In The Shop by Nicole by OPI from the Holiday Glitters Collection. My Sleigh’s In The Shop is a fuschia and silver glitter (there is definitely a lot more fuschia than silver). This one went on really great, and I was surprised at how opaque it was. I only ended up having to use two coats. This looks sort of dull alone, so a top coat is necessary.

They have this polish on Amazon! I don't know about you guys, but I buy pretty much everything on Amazon. Here's the link if you're interested:

Sally Hansen Flirt

Hey everyone!

I hit 50 followers today!!! I’m so excited! When I created this blog I wasn’t even sure if anyone would read it, so it just blows my mind that there are 50 of you out there who follow it. I bought some stuff to do a 50 follower giveaway last night, but I bought it online, so it won’t be here for about a week. I’m sure I can find some pictures of the prizes I’m giving away online, so I think I will just go ahead and post the giveaway tomorrow.  I just need to figure out how to set up the contest forms. I think I’ve noticed that other people normally use google docs for this type of thing, so I’m hoping it won’t be too difficult to do.

Today, I’m wearing Sally Hansen’s Flirt from the Xtreme Wear line. Flirt is a deep burgundy with a slight red and blue shimmer to it. (This polish can look black in some lighting, and the shimmer isn’t very noticeable) This one was a little bit thick, which made it somewhat difficult to work with. I ended up having to use three coats in order to make it look completely even.

If you're interested in getting this polish, they have it on Amazon! Here's the link. :)

Sally Hansen Uptempo Plum

Hey everyone!

I hope you’re all having a fabulous Saturday so far! My grandma’s surgery went really well yesterday, and they’re already letting her come home today! Thanks to everyone for your nice thoughts and comments yesterday.

Today, I have some swatches of Sally Hansen’s Uptempo Plum from the Insta-Dri line to show you all. Uptempo Plum is a deep purple color that almost looks black. This polish has an awesome purple and copper shimmer to it in certain lighting. The formula for this one was great, and it took two coats to be completely even. I love the Insta-Dri polishes, because they have a very different brush compared to the majority of other polishes that's a lot wider and makes the polish super easy to use.

China Glaze Vertical Rush

Hey everyone!

I just have a very short post for you all today. This morning, my Grandma is having surgery, so I’m about to go to spend the day in the hospital with my aunt and sister. For those of you who are believers, your prayers would be much appreciated!
Today, I have some swatches of China Glaze’s Vertical Rush to show you all. Vertical Rush is a raspberry color with a hint of pink to it. This has a slight blue shimmer to it that’s only noticeable in some lighting, but I think you can see it in some of my pictures. This applied great, and I only had to use two coats. I picked this up the other day at Sally Beauty in the clearance section for only $1!!!

OPI It's My Year

Hey everyone!
Sorry for being absent for the past two weeks. Things have been so crazy with my internship and work that I just haven’t had much time for blogging. I’ve been trying to think of a good blogging schedule that I can stick to, and I’m going to make an effort to post Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturdays. I really love having this blog, and I think having a set schedule of when to post will make things a whole lot easier. Whenever I’ve had free time the past couple of days, I’ve been doing lots of swatches and just stocking up on pictures for future posts. In order to get better pictures, I’ve been working on my lighting situation, and I think you will be noticing higher quality pictures on this blog from now on!
Anyway, today I have some swatches of OPI’s It’s My Year from the Miss Universe collection to show you all. It’s My Year is a beautiful lilac purple with a gold shimmer. I am absolutely in love this polish! (The sad thing is this really isn’t my polish and I’m just borrowing it from my sister L)The formula for this was great. This was a little on the thin side, so it took 3 coats to reach full opacity.
