Deer Hunting Nails

Hey everyone!

I hope you've all been having a great weekend so far! Where I live it's opening weekend for deer hunting, and for some reason, I was inspired to do deer hunting nails. I've never been hunting in my life, and never plan on going, but I have memories of my dad and grandpa going every November when I was a kid. I remember always sitting at home that whole weekend hoping that they wouldn't actually kill a deer, because that would mean we would have a ton of venison all over our freezer for months. Ew.

To do these nails, I used Sally Hansen's Sun Kissed from the Xtreme Wear line, Essie's Little Brown Dress, and BM-214. The deer was so hard to stamp! I had a really hard time getting the legs and antlers to transfer from the plate to the stamp, and then once I did get them to work, they kind of smeared on the nails. I think I would have had an easier time if I had a thicker brown polish to use, but of all of the brown polishes I own, this Essie polish worked the best. Anyway, here are some pictures:

  3. I always seem to have the most trouble stamping when I use an Essie polish. I am starting to think that these polishes are not the best polishes to use when stamping.
