Sally Hansen Pumpkin Spice

Hey everyone!

Happy Halloween! Sorry for missing my Saturday post this past weekend. Last week I got a flu shot, and I appear to be having an allergic reaction to it. My whole face and neck have been swollen since Friday and my throat keeps on getting tight and making it difficult to breathe. I went to both urgent care and the hospital on Saturday and they said the only thing I can do to help myself is to just rest and take lots of Benadryl. Definitely not fun. So, because I'm still pretty sick, I just have a really short post for you all today.

In celebration of Halloween today, I have some swatches of Sally Hansen's Pumpkin Spice from the Xtreme Wear line to show you all. Pumpkin Spice is an orange glitter in a black/brown colored base. This polish is really sheer, so I ended up having to use four coats. I think this would be a great layering polish, but I haven't tried that out yet. Since the base of this polish isn't exactly black, I think this is more of a fall polish and not just for Halloween, and I could still pull off layering this over another polish this season. Maybe a dark purple color?

If you haven't signed up for my giveaway yet, you can do so here.

Thanks for reading!

  1. Layering over a med brown looks good - putting it over black makes it look to blaugh like a cheap Halloween black with sparse orange glitter. I agree, it's usable throughout fall to Thanksgiving.

  2. This one looks great, both as a fall mani and as a halloween mani! Too bad it's so sheer!
